Taha Karimi

Taha Karimi, a Kurdish writer and director, was born in 1976 in Baneh city, Iranian Kurdistan. He was an award-winning director known for his thought-provoking documentaries, including "The Qandil Mountains," "1001 Apples," and "I Am a White Mercenary." Tragically, his promising career was cut short when he lost his life in a car accident on 29 May 2013 in Silemani, Iraqi Kurdistan, while pursuing a master's degree in art research.

Taha Karimi, ein kurdischer Schriftsteller und Regisseur, wurde 1976 in der Stadt Baneh im iranischen Kurdistan geboren. Er war ein preisgekrönter Regisseur, bekannt für seine nachdenklich stimmenden Dokumentarfilme, darunter "The Qandil-Mountains", "1001 Apples" und "I Am a White Mercenary". Tragischerweise wurde seine vielversprechende Karriere unterbrochen, als er am 29. Mai 2013 in Slemani, Irakisch-Kurdistan, bei einem Autounfall ums Leben kam, während er einen Master-Abschluss in Kunstforschung anstrebte.
