Hussein Hassan – Biografie
Hussein Hassan is a well-known director, writer, and actor from Kurdistan.
In 2006, he shot his first feature film Narcissus Blossom,
which was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and in the Panorama section of the 56th Berlinale.
In 2009, he completed his second feature film Herman
as both writer and director, which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival.
His third feature film, Reseba – The Dark Wind (2016), opened the 4th Duhok International Film Festival.
Among other honors, the film received awards at the Asian Pacific Film Festival,
Dubai IFF, and Dhaka IFF, and was selected as the official Oscar Entry from Iraq for 2018.
In addition to his own film projects, Hassan is also active as a successful actor.

Hussein Hassan ist ein bekannter Regisseur, Autor und Schauspieler aus Kurdistan.
Im Jahr 2006 drehte er seinen ersten Spielfilm Narcissus Blossom,

und war der offizielle Oscar-Beitrag des Irak für 2018.
