Hamo Beknazarian

Hamo Beknazarian (1891–1965) was a pioneering Armenian actor and filmmaker. In 1920, he organized a film department in Tbilisi, later moving to Armenia where he directed Pepo (1933), the first Armenian sound film. Over his career, he created both feature and documentary films, becoming a central figure in Armenian and Soviet cinema.
