Following the sudden death of her husband, Farhad, Shajwan decides to conceal his death in order to protect their house and shop and secure her financial future. She knows that under inheritance law, she would receive only one-eighth of her husband’s property—an insufficient share to maintain her livelihood and prevent the loss of the property. Relying on a power of attorney that Farhad had previously granted her, Shajwan attempts to sell the house and shop before the truth comes to light.
