Emine Demir

Emine Demir is a director, screenwriter, and poet. Their work explores racism, queer feminism, family, state oppression, and belonging. Emine is one of eight children whose parents migrated from Turkey to Germany in the 1970s. Emine’s short film Wie die Nelken (Like the Carnations) is currently screening at film festivals and Goethe-Instituts around the world.
