This year, the 14th Kurdish Film Festival Berlin has the honor of presenting a total of 12 feature, documentary and short films in focus. The LGBTQIA+ series shows how progressive Kurdish filmmakers are in their work and that there is a growing presence of LGBTQIA+ films with a Kurdish context. These works offer unique insights into the diverse realities of the Kurdish LGBTQIA+ community and provide an important platform for their stories and perspectives.

Dieses Jahr hat das 14. Kurdische Filmfestival Berlin die Ehre, insgesamt 12 Spiel-, Dokumentar- und Kurzfilme im Fokus zu präsentieren. Die LGBTQIA+ Reihe zeigt, wie progressiv kurdische Filmemacher*innen in ihrer Arbeit sind und dass es eine wachsende Präsenz von LGBTQIA+-Filmen mit kurdischem Kontext gibt. Diese Werke bieten einzigartige Einblicke in die vielfältigen Lebensrealitäten der kurdischen LGBTQIA+-Gemeinschaft und stellen eine wichtige Plattform für deren Geschichten und Perspektiven dar.

Filmên di der barê LGBTQIA+ de nîşan dide ku sînemagrên Kurd di karê xwe de çiqasî pêşkeftî ne û her ku diçe hebûna fîlmên LGBTQIA+ di sînemaya Kurdî geştir dibe. Ev xebatan li ser rastiyên cihêreng ên civaka Kurd a LGBTQIA+ têgihiştinên bêhempa pêşkêş dikin û ji çîrok û perspektîfên wan re platformeke girîng ava dikin.
